This musical polarisation, evident in both discourse and musical content, highlights the importance of the east-west axis, which structures the Adadi territory. Each direction is associated with distinct values, expressed through sound, particularly via complementary instruments that correspond to the eastern and western mountain ranges. The music is part of a system of spatial oppositions relating to place, revealing a hierarchical representation of space and the dynamics of territorial occupation by rival groups. |
