Bernard propose également une vraie réflexion sur la vie monastique qu’il développe en recourant aux thèmes bibliques du « poids » et du « fardeau ». Pour l’abbé de Clairvaux, la « vraie philosophie » fait reconnaître dans le Carême le sacrement de la vie monastique. The present article examines the series of seventeen sermons on Psalm 90 Qui habitat that Bernard of Clairvaux preached throughout the liturgical time of Lent (1139). We can detect the outline of a theology of predication that envisions the responsibility of the abbey as a purely instrumental ministry, at the service of God and of the monastic community, and considers preaching as a simple epiphany of the word of God. Bernard articulates a real reflection on monastic life, that he develops by drawing upon the biblical themes of « weight » and « burden ».
