What is each person's place within the kinship network? What principles of justice do family relationships obey to? How do social relations based on class, gender and generation structure family relationships? This study thus demonstrates that these seemingly trivial practices provide knowledge and offers methodological guidelines for this sociology of the infra-ordinary.Les objets de la vie quotidienne, leur conservation et leur circulation dans la famille sont peu étudiés en sociologie. Fondé sur une analyse de la littérature et sur la synthèse de nos propres travaux, cet article défend l’idée qu’ils sont pourtant de bons analyseurs des relations de parenté, dont ils mettent au jour des enjeux importants : comment s’articulent intérêts et sentiments dans la famille, quelle est la place de chacun dans le réseau de parenté, à quels principes de justice les relations familiales obéissent-elles, comment les rapports sociaux de classe, de genre et de génération structurent-ils les relations familiales ? Cette étude montre ainsi la richesse heuristique de ces pratiques faussement anodines et propose des ficelles méthodologiques pour cette sociologie de l’infra-ordinaire.Cairn free access |
