We argue that both questions should be answered positively and suggest to what extent Kant’s texts on history can be reconsidered from that point of view, and with an eye towards the transformation of the concept of history. This can help us clarify, from a Kantian perspective, what belongs to theoretical questioning, and what belongs to practical questioning.La présence du terme d’histoire, chez Kant, dans deux groupes de textes très différents (des textes cosmologiques et des textes portant sur l’histoire humaine), pose un double problème. Peut-on donner à l’expression « histoire de la nature » un sens strict ? Le terme d’histoire revêt-il le même sens lorsqu’il est appliqué à la nature et lorsqu’il est appliqué à l’humanité ? Nous soutenons qu’une réponse positive doit être apportée à ces deux questions et suggérons de quelle façon les textes kantiens sur l’histoire peuvent être reconsidérés à partir de la question de l’histoire de la nature et dans la perspective de la transformation du concept d’histoire, permettant notamment de clarifier ce qui relève de questions théoriques et ce qui relève de questions pratiques.Cairn restricted access
