Jean Granier’s integralist philosophy Jean Granier’s work, which, however monumental as it may be, seems to be so often unacknowledged, tackles head forward all the greatest problems in philosophy, whether it be from ontology to art, and from anthropology to metaphysics as well as the ultimate question of man’s destiny. His philosophy – entitled Integralism – suggest grounding philosophy itself by taking into account, on the one hand, the transcendental position of being taking place within the philosophical discourse, whilst, on the other hand, it considers the status of the « I » while devising that very same discourse, using desires and values to pave the way for a radical understanding of the essence of philosophy, which may then be understood as an « egotistic » interpretation of the world and what lies beyond, i.e. the « transreal ».Cairn free access
