Riassunto:The psychoanalyst’s task is changing. Climate threats, a vital issue, are responsible for eco-anxiety: That of the author, and that described in five clinical cases (hidden beneath personal neurotic symptoms, in the foreground, or totally denied). We then present the views of six authors: The history of end-of-the-world myths by Julien d’Huy, The relationship with animals, in tension between hunters and vegans, with Charles Stepanof, The myth of the wounded healer (Jean de Monbourquette) and the relationship between the healer’s ego and self (ourselves and our patients). In polytheistic societies (Maurizio Bellini), symbolic life was everywhere: Why not draw inspiration from it? When we suffer together, we can turn the feeling of “I’m suffering (even though I’m a carer), you’re suffering and asking me for help” into, “let’s experience stories together in order to heal ourselves” (as Delphine Horvilleur is asked to do as rabbi at the time of a death). Man is destined to die; Saying it, knowing it, restores the group’s value as a consoling truth, supported by the mythical fabric. A new task for the psychoanalyst is to encourage group bonding.
