D’autres envois adressés à la mairie lors de ses déplacements à Paris ou à la cour permettent de saisir habitudes de travail et mobilisation de réseaux d’intermédiation. Un exil temporaire, lié à un épisode de peste, ainsi que sa relation à son fils ouvrent la porte de son hôtel et de la vie familiale. Les derniers moments du procureur vieilli sont eux aussi entourés de tractations épistolaires entre la ville et le pouvoir ducal, qui tente d’imposer un successeur de son choix.About sixty letters and minutes remain of the professional and personal activity of a municipal procureur in Dijon (15th century) and have fallen into the city archives. A first series of discussions, with interlocutors from the Paris Parliament, relates to the monitoring of pending cases and accompanies the circulation of legal documents and the payment of pledges, but also reveals intimate developments and the circulation of gifts. Other mailings sent to the town hall during his trips to Paris or to the court allow us to capture work habits and mobilization of intermediation networks. A temporary exile, linked to an episode of plague as well as his relation to his son, opens the door of his hotel and family life. The final moments of the aged procureur are also surrounded by letter-writing negotiations between the city and the ducal government, which is trying to impose a successor of its choice.Cairn free access |
