Beskrivelse
Summary:Wolof literature is not easy to define. It covers a range of heterogeneous texts (oral/written; Arabic/Latin alphabet) and is characterized by its fluidity (multiple versions, changing media). This fluidity, encouraged by the absence of an institutional policy, makes Wolof literature a particularly rich object of study for general and comparative literature, but also poses theoretical problems. The article examines the construction of this research object within comparative studies (which corpus is studied? where, by whom and according to what approaches?) and proposes paths to take account of the specificity of this corpus (ecosystemic approach).
