The puppet engages with the themes of SF while also showcasing a unique dramaturgy and staging of space adventures. The themes it tackles coincide with those of the journey, such as the relationship between the human and the non-human, or between materiality and technology. In France and in Germany, puppet theater introduced science fiction by incorporating elements and themes that marked a shift toward space opera. The challenges posed by space flight are particularly relevant to puppetry, highlighting the elements that specifically pertain to the puppet as a medium of expression. The puppet offers the possibility to enlarge the repertoire and to associate traditional representations and new imaginary ones.La SF se construit de thématiques et de questionnements pouvant faire leur entrée sur la scène théâtrale. La marionnette travaille la SF en même temps qu’elle affiche une dramaturgie et une mise en scène singulières des aventures spatiales. Les enjeux qu’elle mobilise entrent en résonance avec ceux du voyage, comme l’humain et le non humain ou la relation à la matérialité et la technologie. En France et en Allemagne, la marionnette introduit la SF à travers la mise en place de bascules pour aller vers le space opera. Les enjeux du vol spatial lancent des défis qui concernent la marionnette d’une manière privilégiée ; elle met en avant ce qui l’engage en tant que marionnette.
