First, it deals with sectorial issues such as protection of water, marine environment, air and climate, soil and biodiversity. Secondly it considers environmental protection as a whole, transsectorial protection, environment and trade, environment and armed conflicts, territorial protection regimes (such as mountain areas) and individualization of international environmental law (rights to a healthy environment ; liability regimes).
