Performance in a modern economy must combine financial and extrafinancial results, such as the creation of financial value net of the impacts and costs of business models transformation – with limited or impossible access to certain resources or ecosystem services, zero net greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, etc. – while taking into account all related social impacts. This new definition of value creation forces companies to juggle between mediumand long-term time horizons for their transition plan and concrete short-term actions with new indicators required by the new regulatory framework. Financial consultancy firms offer a fresh perspective on these issues, highlighting all the funding mechanisms available to companies, thus helping them to find short-term financing levers for their transition plan.Une économie compétitive et moderne, c’est l’objectif posé par le pacte vert européen. Une performance moderne se doit d’allier financier et extra-financier : une création de valeur financière nette des impacts et coûts de transformation des modèles d’affaires liés à l’accès limité ou impossible à certaines ressources ou services écosystémiques, zéro émission nette de gaz à effet de serre d’ici à 2050… tout en prenant en compte l’ensemble des impacts sociaux afférents. Cette nouvelle définition de la création de valeur impose aux entreprises de jongler entre des horizons de temps à moyen / long terme pour leur plan de transition et les actions concrètes à court terme avec la mesure d’indicateurs dédiés exigés par le cadre réglementaire.
