La mise en place d’outils théoriques empruntés aux sciences économiques procure un cadre d’analyse permettant de quantifier le besoin d’information. Les notions de substituabilité et complémentarité informative sont reprises et élargies dans le cadre de l’Intelligence Économique.The purpose of this paper is to determine theoretically the need for information necessary of agents in order to optimize their decision-making. The increasing development of information leads to overconsumption informative which is a real threat to efficiency. The development of theoretical tools borrowed from economics provides an analytical framework for quantifying the need for information. The notions of substitutability and complementarity are expanded in the field of Business Intelligence.Cairn free access
