Shrnutí:The article discusses the challenges and necessary developments in economic and financial intelligence in France. It emphasizes that while intelligence historically focused on diplomatic and military domains, it is now crucial to also concentrate on the economy due to increasing threats in this sector. We criticize the lack of specific skills and organization for economic intelligence among French intelligence services, despite legislative reforms and the inclusion of economic interest protection in the Code of Internal Security. We advocate for better coordination and increased specialization to effectively protect the nation’s major economic interests.
