總結:The Holocaust proved to be a major historic reference for French-language Jewish intellectuals after the liberation. The École de pensée juive de Paris, as illustrated by the Colloque des intellectuels juifs de langue française and the École Gilbert Bloch d’Orsay, arose from the questioning engendered by the attempted extermination of the Jewish people of Europe and North Africa. Nevertheless, it has never constituted the general topic of the meetings of Jewish intellectuals, unlike the issue of Israel. While André Neher, Vladimir Rabi, Eliane Amado Levy-Valensi, Emmanuel Levinas, Vladimir Jankélévitch and others contributed to the reconstruction of French Judaism, the commitment they made was a reflection on the failure of the modernity. This failure was necessarily embodied by Auschwitz in its personal, ethical and historic dimensions.
