Tóm tắt:This article explores the various ways and reasons to study the relationship between Ilse Aichinger’s poetry and the metaphorical caesura of the killing centers, which sought to destroy the Jewish people in Europe. Everyone knows that any reflections on the possibility of writing poetry after Auschwitz are necessarily bound together with Adorno’s famous quote in Prismen : Kulturkritik und Gesellschaft. Ilse Aichinger’s work feeds this debate. Many of her poems begin with a call for the fall from grace. However, her poetry quickly shifts focus to an inability to speak and the fear of never again opening “my mouth because of the threat and the impression that the end has come.” Aichinger demonstrates that it is possible to create poetry that is born of and fed by this man-made catastrophe.
