A comparative examination of three of these concentration camps – Bogdanovka, Pechora, and Cariera de Piatra – as a prelude to a more detailed analysis of the “political/labor camp” Vapniarka, illustrates the range of practices characterizing the Romanian camp “system,” or, more accurately perhaps, the lack of a system.Cairn free access
