| Streszczenie: | First steps. A difficult subject in a difficult high school...The Holocaust is a difficult subject to teach and is even more so in multi-cultural high schools. This article is an account of the author’s approach to the subject, the steps she took and attitude she adopted, including her own doubts and life experiences, that she utilized when facing this rather difficult audience.Teaching the Holocaust also raises many questions which she tried to answer. The solutions that she brought are not absolute truths, but the result of her own individual experience. Therefore they contain errors and imperfections, but they do present examples of what young people can learn about this very dark period in our history. |
