Every student is duty bound not only to remember ( Zachor – a Jewish diktat) but also to cultivate a heightened awareness of current moods in both the Jewish and non-Jewish worlds.The existing challenge facing Jewish schools in France today is to abandon their traditional particularism and to take a greater interest in general current affairs.Cairn free access
