Shrnutí:The Holocaust, from study to remembrance: a growing presence in high school handbooks and programs?Holocaust studies start in the 10th grade of high school. Over the years, these studies were conducted in history classes, and eventually found their most extensive and visible form in the educational program enacted in 2002.Textbooks that were available in September 2003 (beginning of the school year in France), had little to say on the subject. New publications from 2007 based on recent and serious historical researches now offer data or even high-quality chapters on the issue. However, in view of the new high school reforms to be implemented in the 10th grade as of September 2011, there are concerns that Holocaust studies might be further restricted due to cuts in the history curricula in high schools.
