Resumo:The Hebrew-speaking Catholic Community in IsraelThe Hebrew-speaking Catholic community was created in Israel immediately following the War of Independence. In the context of the Arab-Israeli conflict, the community asserted its independence vis-a-vis the local Arab speaking church. They have all been scarred by the Holocaust as they maintain a strong loyalty to the people of their forefathers by coming to settle in Israel and claiming Israeli citizenship. The non-Jews, disturbed by the consequences of anti-Semitism by the Catholic Church, do the same.
