要約:The Hebrew-speaking Catholic Community in IsraelThe Hebrew-speaking Catholic community was created in Israel immediately following the War of Independence. In the context of the Arab-Israeli conflict, the community asserted its independence vis-a-vis the local Arab speaking church. This article presents the biographies of the founders and organizers of this kehilla of which about half are Jewish converts to Catholicism. They have all been scarred by the Holocaust as they maintain a strong loyalty to the people of their forefathers by coming to settle in Israel and claiming Israeli citizenship. The non-Jews, disturbed by the consequences of anti-Semitism by the Catholic Church, do the same.
