As far as the “Jewish” dimension of the Holocaust is concerned, only the issues of Jewish resistance to persecution and the historical “lesson” to be learned from the Holocaust regarding the situation of the Jews in western society are raised. Thus, the Holocaust is depicted in a one-dimensional way, much different from its picture as emerging from the studies produced by the research circle which focuses on Jewish society during the period itself. Consequently, it can be stated that the findings of Holocaust researchers have not really penetrated into the genre of comprehensive works on Jewish history. Therefore, this should be a challenge for future historians.Cairn free access
