Özet:Using camp Föhrenwald in West Germany (the future Federal Republic of Germany), the author shows how a certain Zionist logic marked the refugees there, who honestly wanted to go to Eretz Israel (Palestine) so as to start a new life. Föhrenwald, the last of D.P.’s camps, was the place where elderly persons and those too ill to emigrate were regrouped. Albeit, the “Eugenic” logic of modern nationalism is also present here, this alone does not explain the successful emigration and implantation of some, and the protracted stay of others on German soil.
