Résumé:Found in the Shape Central Records Office, documents from the commandment of the Allied Land Forces Southern Europe (LANDSOUTH), stationed in Verona until 2004, offers new perspectives on the beginning of the nuclearisation of land warfare as seen in plans established during the 1950s by the North Atlantic Alliance. At the time, the prevalent parameters in terms of geo-strategy, geopolitics, military politics, and weapons technology laid out the border between antagonist military alliances during the Cold War at the heart of the pre-Alpine zone.
