Descripció
Sumari:Like incidental ideas (Einfällen), Freud frequently introduced literary quotations that came to mind as he wrote and imposed themselves on him, creating an interpretative movement that enriched or nuanced his remarks. Three examples, among countless others, illustrate here the interpretative effects of this Freudian talent. The first concerns a metapsychological trait of the drive, its plasticity, and how, initially undifferentiated, it will provide the sexual and the cruel. The second shows, in a session, how an important interpretation given by Freud to Reik, on his couch at that time, consists only of a mention of the title of a work by Schnitzler. The third example realizes an implicit interpretation, suggested to Romain Rolland and to those contemporary psychoanalysts who had not, in that time, accepted the possibility of the death drive.
