Based on his experience of psychoanalysis among children suffering from cancer, the author presents his theoretico-clinical reflections on the patient’s body in the session and more specifically in the case of a dying patient. It is work that requires a specific framework to take into account that the treatment may be ended at any moment by the patient’s death. He emphasises the important role that a psychoanalyst can play by his very presence in accompanying the work of decease being carried out by the patient. Cairn free access
