The hallucinatory process cannot be limited to representation, no more so than primordial sexuality can be limited to the hallucinatory process, unless it also includes purely motor or behavioural forms of repetition of traumatic traces, that is, “ hallucinatory motor forms ”. With examples from Freud’s analysis of Hilda Doolittle and her “ writing on the wall ”, from Winnicott and the “ hallucination that refutes hallucination ”, the author attempts to show the complexity of representation and its primary negation. Cairn free access
