A variety historical sources have been analyzed to identify the key characteristics of this organization and how it was received by both civil society and the academic community. In doing so, the article brings to light sociological, philosophical, and psychological foundations of managerial thought. It emphasizes the phenomena of omission in the construction of knowledge and the curative role of historical inquiry.L’article s’intéresse à une organisation et à l’histoire de sa réception : la Communauté Boimondau, organisation française de production de boîtiers de montre de 1941 à 1971. Des matériaux historiques divers ont été analysés pour retracer les traits saillants de cette organisation puis de sa réception par la société civile et la sphère académique. Ce faisant, des sources sociologiques, philosophiques et psychologiques de la pensée managériale sont mises en avant. Les auteurs soulignent des phénomènes d’oublis dans la construction du savoir.
