This leads us to present a synthesis of emotional labor in the form of a square.Cette revue narrative de la littérature sur le travail émotionnel met en dialogue une diversité de focales théoriques, de disciplines et de travaux (incontournables ou bien méconnus) afin de proposer un nouveau récit autour de ce concept. Trois axes sont développés : 1) le travail émotionnel comme activité invisible mais omniprésente et potentiellement délétère, 2) le glissement vers une pluralité de cadres organisationnels et 3) les dimensions oubliées du travail émotionnel.
