In the first role, the platform gives litigants access to an online directory and offers them assistance in their search for a lawyer. We study three regimes regarding user feedback on lawyers. We determine that moderating litigants’ comments is preferable to maximize access to legal services, but the platform’s chosen regime sometimes minimizes this access. In the second role, the platform offers standardized solutions tailored to specific legal problems. We show that if the price of the lawyers’ services is high, the platform can increase access to legal services and the total surplus of litigants. Additionally, the platform’s presence can have an indirect positive effect on access to justice as it leads to a decrease in lawyers’ fees. However, integrating the platform’s services with those of the lawyers increases the platform’s profit but reduces access to legal services.Cet article examine l’impact des plateformes en ligne dans le marché des services juridiques, en se concentrant sur deux rôles clés : celui d’intermédiaire et celui de fournisseur de services. Dans le premier rôle, la plateforme permet aux justiciables d’accéder à un annuaire en ligne et à une procédure d’aide à la recherche d’avocat. Nous étudions trois régimes de fonctionnement de la plateforme en matière de retours d’expérience des utilisateurs sur les avocats. Nous déterminons que la modération des commentaires des justiciables est préférable pour maximiser l’accès aux services juridiques mais que le régime choisi par la plateforme est parfois celui qui minimise cet accès. Dans le deuxième rôle, la plateforme offre des solutions standardisées adaptées à certains problèmes juridiques. Nous montrons que, si le prix du service proposé par les avocats est élevé, la plateforme peut augmenter l’accès aux services juridiques et le surplus total des justiciables. En outre, la présence de la plateforme peut avoir un effet positif indirect sur l’accès au droit car elle conduit à la baisse des tarifs des avocats. En revanche, l’intégration des services de la plateforme et des avocats augmente le profit de la plateforme mais réduit l’accès aux services juridiques.Cairn restricted access
