Scott Momaday’s work from a formal angle. Without negating the typically native American ethnic background, it highlights the surface phenomena that shape the novels of Momaday: light, body, movement, sound, gaze..., and shows how the aesthetic vision is simultaneously an experience of life and its never-ending invention of the real, the complex transformation of chaos into harmony. Here the fiction of Momaday is considered as a compendium that celebrates the essential qualities of life.
