要約:This article aims at explaining first how Hollywood fantastic cinema has gradually achieved recognition thanks to the pioneer work carried out in specialised journals and fan magazines and also to the developing of theoretical studies which have stimulated the interest of film critics. It then examines more specifically the way in which French theory has influenced American criticism in the genre despite some discrepancies in terms of approach and method. Lastly, it shows there are some positive signs foretelling increasing exchanges between French and American scholars.
