Description
Summary:Countering UAV systems (C-UAS) has become a major defence and security challenge. Multi-sensor detection, targeted neutralisation and an appropriate legal framework are central to C-UAS. The FASF was in charge of the inter-ministerial C-UAS arrangements for the 2024 Olympic Games and demonstrated its effectiveness and ability to bring resources together to ensure the security of national airspace. This momentum needs to be maintained, given the continuous, rapid evolution of drone technology and activity we now face.
