總結:Among all the cathedral’s benefactors, Charles V stands out as the most generous, with 16 valuable objects offered, two of which in company of his wife, Queen Jeanne de Bourbon. Charles VI also surpasses other patrons by offering 14 precious artworks, of which three as a Dolphin. Those works were mainly golden reliquaries, ornated with rubies, sapphires, pearls or emeralds, when given by men, and beautifully decorated textiles, when offered by women, though there were exceptions as well. Many of these objects were related to happy events, such as the coronation or the birth of an heir. Another fair amount of them was offered the first Sunday of Advent, as a revival of the valuable gift of relics made by Philip Augustus. The description of these artworks in the three medieval inventories of the cathedral’s treasury, written in the 14th and 15th centuries, is a moving insight into the hopes and religious sensitivity of the royal family.
