An eighth inscribed block is in fact an entablement segment, the upper level devoted to the Acts of the Apostles according to a typological logic. Identifying it leads to the identification of another similar element, in the Cluny Museum, related to an episode in the life of Saint Julien of Le Mans. The celebration of this saint at Notre Dame was promoted by Pierre de la Forêt, originally from Le Mans, and bishop of Paris from 1350 to 1352. He was the donor of a relic of Saint Julien. A link emerges between the saints represented on the eastern part of choir tower and the relics preserved in the cathedral, reinforced by the possible visual relationship, seen through the openings of the enclosure, between the sculpted medallions and the reliquaries displayed on the altars in the sanctuary.
