Descripció
Sumari:Beyond an accounting view of public swimming pools, which are often in deficit, this article focuses on their sporting, social and political usefulness. As well as preventing drowning and enabling competitive swimming, they provide a space for leisure and socializing, and are indispensable islands of coolness in times of global warming.
