Sumari:Whereas professional clubs adjust their sporting performance (wage bills, transfers, infrastructure) according to their economic performance (broadcasting rights, ticket sales, competition prizes), amateur clubs, on the other hand, seek to find funding compatible with their costs, which also differentiates them from other associations. The weakness of their direct income (membership fees, competition revenues, ticket sales) and their crucial role in public health, education, and local life justify the support of public authorities. However, public subsidies have decreased in recent years, forcing amateur clubs to adapt their economic model.
