要約:In 1975, a sports law inaugurated a particular status which confers the activity of elite athletes with some degree of legal recognition. Since 2012, this status allows them to contribute to retirement pension schemes, for instance. However, such legal recognition still does not grant these athletes a proper professional status, and their activity is not recognized as labour - those who obtain the status are left in a difficult in-between. This article attempts to explain why this archaism is maintained. I argue that it is because this situation fits the logics of management: the insecurity of athletes is an efficient means to control them.
