The authors examine the material of the analyst’s reverie during sessions. On the basis of a clinical sketch, they show that the internal experiences and phenomena of the analyst’s reverie can reveal a potential alpha function of transformation. The hypothesis is as follows: capturing these somato-psychic experiences awaiting interpretation by the analyst puts the latter on the path to what is also, in the patient, awaiting treatment (because it is encysted, frozen, petrified, fossilized or out of reach). The authors refer to the Bionian concepts of disposition without memory or desire, the capacity for reverie, pictograms, and transformation into K and O. De auteurs richten zich op het materiaal van de mijmering van de analist tijdens de sessie.
