He hypothesises that this energy constitutes a gravitational field to which the human community responds and that it offers a panpsychic background from which the individual incarnate forms emerge. This background acts as a function object (foncteur) for projective identifications, facilitating them by polarizing the intersubjective field and promoting subjective communications. The clinical experience of transgenerational transmissions provides an opportunity to approach this background strength, to speculate on its nature and above all to identify its effects. A clinical vignette could illustrate some of these manifestations even remotely from the analytical site. However, it is in the regressive listening of session material that this panpsychic background can sometimes intervene by coincidences or correspondences of imaginarized thoughts.
