Sauvaitre), identified five phases of occupation, one of which could be linked to troops passing through Dax during the Napoleonic Wars.Préalablement à un projet immobilier sur l’emprise du lycée Saint-Joseph à Dax, à l’emplacement de l’ancien couvent des Capucins, des sondages archéologiques — réalisés en 2004 par l’Institut national de recherches archéologiques préventives (Inrap, C. Scuiller) — ont mis en évidence deux ensembles funéraires datés des XVIIe-XIXe siècles. L’opération préventive menée par la société Hadès en 2007 (N. Sauvaitre), a permis de distinguer cinq phases d’occupation dont l’une serait à rattacher aux troupes de soldats de passage à Dax lors des guerres napoléoniennes.Cairn free access |
