Résumé:For several years the vestiges of contemporary conflicts have been approached within the framework of archaeological research in the same way as all the vestiges corresponding to the prehistoric and historical periods. However, the contemporary period (from 1789 to the present day) corresponds to recent archaeological research requiring the implementation of a reflection with regard, in particular, to the recording of data within the national archaeological map and its application Patriarche. These vestiges, often victims of ignorance, looting or erosion of the coastline for coastal fortifications (eg Atlantic Wall) can be considered, for some, as vulnerable and must be precisely located on a map and described in order to be better identified, protected and preserved and increase our knowledge. These data are essential in particular to be able to bring them to the attention in the context of requests for informations but also to be taken into account in the archaeological prescriptions during land development and thus allow the various stakeholders in the field to have a enlightened approach adapted to this type of vestiges, the dangerousness of which must also be taken into account.
