The results are numerous and enrich our knowledge of these events and this heritage, nowadays widely threatened by the coastline erosion and the urbanisation.Depuis une dizaine d’années, de nombreuses opérations archéologiques menées en Normandie se sont intéressées aux vestiges de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. L’étude de sites tels que ceux du Mur de l’Atlantique, les camps de prisonniers de guerre ou bien les théâtres d’affrontement autour de Caen, a abouti à la mise en place de problématiques et de thématiques de recherche ciblées. Les résultats sont nombreux et viennent enrichir nos connaissances de ces événements et de ce patrimoine aujourd’hui largement menacé par les phénomènes d’érosion du littoral et d’urbanisation.Cairn free access
