À partir d’études de cas tirés du terrain ivoirien, cette contribution propose de redéfinir ce champ d’études afin de tenir compte à la fois de l’émergence d’un problème public qui est l’accaparement des terres et des transformations dans l’économie politique du capitalisme agraire que ce terme recouvre.The notion of land grabbing has become a common term in the study of various agrarian transformations taking place in the Global South. However, it suffers from a great deal of definitional uncertainty and difficulties in clearly establishing the scope of its object. Based on case studies from Côte d’Ivoire, this contribution proposes a redefinition of the subject that takes into account both its emergence as a public problem and the transformations in the political economy of the agrarian capitalism it covers.Cairn free access |
