This article examines the Guinean regime’s efforts to reconstruct itself in the international arena by raising certain questions : Is Equatorial Guinea an offshore entity or a continental entrepot ? Is it part of the Hispanophone or Francophone regimes ? Is it better integrated into the franc zone or dollarized international markets ? The answers to these questions depend upon the redefinition of what has heretofore been signified as « national territory » and « national wealth ».Cairn free access
