Il souligne également que ce processus est parfois « passager », irrégulier, instable, fragile, notamment dans la création poétique à l’adolescence, et nullement définitivement acquis.Some remarks on sublimationSiegfried Bernfeld (1892-1953) was 30 years of age when he published the text we are about to read, and was in supervision with Freud, who had made him a member of the Psychoanalytic Society of Vienna. Bernfeld seeks for the first time in this text to distinguish the process of sublimation (Die Sublimation) from the result which is socially and culturally appreciated (Die Sublimierung). He also points out that this process is at times “transient”, irregular, unstable and fragile, notably in poetic creation at adolescence, and is never permanently acquired.Cairn free access
