Universities are not spared by these tools and the use of the smartphones in particular, which sometimes conflicts with pedagogical expectations and lead to behaviours deemed uncivil by teachers. The perception of incivilities is a subjective experience, hence this exploratory research aims at surveying IUT students about how legitimate they think it is to use of smartphones during classes, and the resulting digital incivilities that preoccupy teachers.‪Cairn free access
