The two fascicles presented here offer a unique and comprehensive documentation and analysis of the Cypriote dialect. The first fascicle is a systematic grammar; the second a collection of inscriptions arranged according to region and documenting all surviving material in the language (with translations) Main description: Das Altgriechische isteine der indogermanischen Sprachen mitbesonders reichhaltiger Überlieferung. Zwei seiner Dialekte sind nicht im Alphabet, sondern in einer der ägäischen Silbenschriften überliefert: Mykenisch und Kyprisch. Das an der östlichen Peripherie gelegene Kyprische ist Gegenstand dieses Handbuchs. Es bietet als Hauptteil eine Grammatik, die vor allem die Chronologie der Inschriften berücksichtigt.
