DANS LE GROUPE DE VALLCARGA LES SEQUENCES DE DEPOT CONSTITUENT UN SYSTEME RETROGRADANT ; LEUR CARTOGRAPHIE REVELE LEURS RELATIONS GEOMETRIQUES DANS UN BASSIN ET SUR DES TALUS D'EROSION QUI ENTAILLENT UN SUBSTRATUM AFFECTE EN PROFONDEUR PAR UNE TECTONIQUE SYNSEDIMENTAIRE. DANS LE GROUPE D'AREN, LES SEQUENCES DE DEPOT CONSTITUENT UN SYSTEME PROGRADANT. LEURS CORTEGES SEDIMENTAIRES REUNISSENT DES SYSTEMES DE DEPOT QUI S'ETAGENT DU CONTINENT AU MARIN PROFOND ET S'AGENCENT CONFORMEMENT AU MODELE DE VAIL. | 520 | |a The well-known anagenetic Rosita fornicata lineage of planktonic Foraminifera has been numerically calibrated using the datum-planes of the main planktonic index species (Foraminifera and nannofossils) according the ages assigned to them in Vail's global chart of eustatic cycles. Therefore this lineage can be used in grade-dating to time-correlate the thus-dated depositional sequences with Vail's curves without variations in accuracy. Twelve depositional sequences are identified during the Senonian (late Turonian to Danian). The first eight depositional sequences composed the Vallcarga group and the last four, constitute the Aren group. The geometry and system tract organization of the depositional sequences indicate sequence boundaries at 90, 88.5, 87.5, 85, 83, 80, 79, 77.5, 75, 71, 68, 67 Millions of years and allow time-correlations between so-dating depositional sequences and third order eustatic cycles from Vail's global chart. During the Vallcarga group, the depositional sequences constitute a retrogressing system which is affected by synsedimentary tectonic. A subsidence migration from NW to WSW controls the location of each sequential depocenter in a prograding basin margin during the late Campanian to early Danian Aren group. Therefore it can be concluded that eustatic changes are the main factors of sedimentary control at this scale. It can be observed the synchroneity of Senonian sedimentary sequences and the eustatic cycles in the southern central Pyrenees (Spain). | ||
